With over 30,000 members in around 420 clubs - associated in nine federal state athletic departments, the Austrian Athletics Association (OELV) is one of the largest professional associations in Austria. Founded in 1902, the OELV can look back on a long and successful tradition. Always striving for innovation and further development, the OELV acts as a strong ambassador for Austrian summer sports. The OELV is an internationally recognized and recognized association in athletics.
We promote the basic sport of athletics in all forms of top, competitive and competitive sport in terms of maximum performance as well as mass sport in terms of fitness and health promotion. Our members receive the best possible support for the organization of their sporting activities. The headquarter of the Austrian Federation is based in Vienna and primarily financed by the Ministry of Sports but is also in a strong agreement with its long- and short-term sponsors. One of the biggest advantages of our federation is that all important decisions are made without long lasting processes.
Results since 2009 In sports competition especially since 2009 the Austrian Athletics made a big progress. In all events athletes won more than 50 (EYOF, U18, U20, U23, Elite) medals till end of 2020.
